InnoSuper - Innovation by Supervising

Do you supervise scientific work at KIT – as a postdoc, group leader, or scientist? Do you want to better support your supervisees in developing their ideas and integrating transfer projects into everyday research?
Then InnoSuper – Innovation by Supervising, a Helmholtz Transfer Academy for Supervisors, is designed for you.

InnoSuper empowers scientific supervisors to become active drivers of innovation and transfer. The program strengthens your ability to recognize promising research results, guide early-stage innovation, and connect excellent science with applications in society and industry – all within the KIT innovation ecosystem.

Developed between 2023 and 2025 by a Helmholtz consortium including KIT, FZJ, HZDR, and GFZ, InnoSuper brings together best practices in knowledge and technology transfer and makes them accessible to supervisors across disciplines.

"Before joining the program, I thought technology transfer was only about startups. InnoSuper proved me wrong and showed me that there are many different pathways to transfer research results, beyond just publications. My favorite part of the program was the Innovator’s DNA session, which encouraged self-reflection and helped me understand what truly matters to me as a scientist."
